About the Role
JFR, a Product Line within JF Groupβs Energy division is looking for a Tender Manager to join the successful Commercial department. You will work alongside various teams and will be responsible for achieving the goals of the Product Line by preparing high quality tenders, consisting, among other things, of cost price, execution methodology, terms and conditions, and risk analysis for rentals, services and projects. Your role will include customer interaction, clarifications, tender updates, support with contract negotiations, and more!
Job Responsibilities
- Management of bids through receipt of enquiry to submission and contract award.
- Ensure that bids are compliant with customer requirements and adhere to the Tendering process.
- Identify bid elements requiring contributions from internal departments, define these contributions, request from appropriate department, manage their delivery and quality and integrate into the final proposal.
- Understand all elements of tender (operational, commercial, contractual etc.) separately as well as how they combine and interlink into the overall proposal. When and where necessary lead and/or contribute to writing technical proposal with the necessary support from SMEs or the wider business.
- Manage bids through internal approval process.
- Manage client queries, drawing on the support of the wider organisation.
- Liaising with other relevant departments to develop technical solutions.
- Liaising with Contracts Managers to develop commercial solution / manage compliance.
- Working with the estimation cost model, providing robust bid estimates for internal approval.
- Working with the Sales Managers to provide further information as required.
- Ensure tender information on CRM is kept up to date. Assist in future CRM development if required.
- Package up successful bids into a handover package to allow the project to commence.
- Lead Pre-Qualifications, liaising with other relevant departments to produce solutions in accordance with customer requirements.
- Assist the Senior Tender Manager, Product Line Tender Lead and/or Head of Tendering to ensure that Bid Team and Senior Leadership Team adhere to Bid Management Process.
- Contribute with ideas, suggestions, and support to improve overall Tendering process, tender materials and tools and any other related aspects.
About the Candidate
- Previous experience in a Tendering, Business Development, Sales, or Commercial function in similar industry (Oil and Gas, Renewables or Marine)
- Degree or HNC qualified in either Business, Engineering or related subject
- Proposal/ tender writing and pricing/estimation experience
- Commercial awareness
- Great attention-to-detail and communication skills
- Energetic, passionate about the work that you do
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Self-motivated and proactive
