About the Role
Talent and Resourcing Advisor – Full‑Time, 6‑Month FTC – United Kingdom, Hybrid working (Knutsford, Preston, Aberdeen, Seething or Glasgow)
Join a dynamic, high‑impact Talent and Resourcing team at James Fisher and Sons, where you will play a central role in shaping the organisation’s global hiring strategy. As part of our in‑house function, you will deliver a proactive, value‑driven service that goes beyond recruitment, partnering closely with the business to attract, engage and retain top talent worldwide. You will take ownership of the full talent lifecycle, identifying, sourcing and managing talent pipelines aligned to JFS goals and future growth, and will thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where your expertise will directly influence hiring outcomes across diverse global markets.
What you'll be doing:
- Support end‑to‑end recruitment across both high‑volume and specialist roles.
- Partner closely with the Talent & Resourcing team to deliver a tailored recruitment service.
- Coach and support hiring managers to build recruitment capability and interview skills.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HRBPs to understand hiring needs.
- Create engaging job adverts and source candidates across multiple channels, including screening and selection.
- Drive talent initiatives: market mapping, talent pooling, headhunting and succession planning.
- Train and guide managers on Talent & Resourcing processes.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand future talent needs.
- Manage external supplier relationships, including the PSL.
- Deliver innovative attraction campaigns to secure top talent.
Qualifications:
- Proven in‑house recruitment experience with global exposure (energy, defence or maritime background preferred).
- Skilled in ATS, job boards, CV databases and building talent pipelines.
- Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel.
- Good understanding of GDPR and compliance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage high‑volume workloads and prioritise effectively.
- Works well independently and within a team.
- Strong stakeholder management with a consultative, influencing approach.
- Maintains confidentiality, discretion and professionalism.
- Adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced, global recruitment environment.
