About the role: The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for negotiating, implementing, and managing supplier agreements to strengthen the JFD supply chain. The role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to support organizational goals. Your key responsibilities will include: Develop and implement procurement strategies for efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Manage supplier relationships, including evaluating, selecting, and monitoring suppliers against contractual performance. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations and standards. Monitor procurement activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth procurement operations. Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures. Conduct audits of procurement processes and procedures to identify and address areas for improvement. What do you need? Solid understanding of procurement processes and tasks, with strong experience in contract and commercial negotiation. Skills in analysis, presentation, and attention to detail. Adept at problem solving, responsible, organized, and methodical. Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with key suppliers. CIPS qualification is desirable but not necessary. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure compliance and safety. Understanding of procurement tools and materials for efficiency. Experience in a related position is preferred. Effective communication skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
