As a Control Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of innovation, designing, developing, and maintaining control systems that keep machinery operating efficiently, safely, and at peak performance. Working collaboratively with cross‑functional engineering teams, you’ll implement smart control strategies, tackle real‑world challenges, and troubleshoot critical systems to the highest standards.

Role details: HV Control Engineer x2 – Full‑Time, Permanent – Newtownards, site‑based.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Create and develop control systems for machinery and processes, ensuring full compliance with required standards and specifications.
  • Deploy effective control strategies to enhance the performance and operational efficiency of equipment and processes.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve control system issues promptly, ensuring accuracy and minimal downtime.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring correct and safe use of control systems and associated equipment.
  • Perform thorough inspections and testing of control systems to confirm they meet defined quality standards.
  • Keep detailed, accurate, and up‑to‑date records of control systems, including modifications and updates.
  • Work closely with engineering teams and other departments to ensure seamless integration and reliable system performance.
  • Escalate and report control system concerns or risks to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • Previous experience in a control engineering or related role.
  • Senior Authorised Person/Control Engineer background.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Previous HV authorisation.
  • Excellent organisation and problem‑solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
