We are looking for a 132kV Site SAP to take technical ownership of a designated OFTO site, ensuring safe, efficient, and well‑planned delivery of all works. You will combine SAP responsibilities with oversight of asset planning and execution. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will support cost‑effective project delivery, champion HSEQ standards, and maintain strong customer engagement through regular communication and monthly reviews.
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee technical aspects of the OFTO site, ensuring asset‑related work is planned and delivered to a high standard.
- Translate asset management plans into site‑level programmes with Project Engineers and the central engineering team.
- Ensure technical requirements are met and escalate risks or issues when needed.
- Produce monthly reports on asset condition, performance and emerging issues.
- Prepare technical reports for engineering review.
- Promote strong HSEQ standards on site through safety observations, non‑conformance reporting and support of improvement actions.
- Coordinate with the Operational Planning Manager to ensure resources align with site plans.
- Work with stores and supply chain teams to confirm tools, equipment and contractor arrangements.
- Carry out SAP duties including outage planning, switching, safety documentation and demarcation up to 132kV.
- Liaise with the control centre, NESO and wind farm operator safety teams.
- Act as Authorising Engineer when required and contribute to authorisation panels and training.
- Mentor SAPs progressing toward authorisation.
- Act as the main customer contact through regular communication and monthly meetings.
- Support the Project Manager with commercial tasks including budgeting and cost management.
What we're looking for
- Hands‑on experience as a Senior Authorised Person on 132kV systems.
- Strong understanding of HV safety standards and UK Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Clear, effective communicator with strong leadership skills.

- Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering preferred.
