About the Role
The TUP Deputy Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the rescue readiness of the TUP including the chamber systems and auxiliary equipment, as part of the NSRS Rescue System. Supporting the TUP Supervisor, the Deputy Supervisor will be responsible for the material state of the TUP, including maintenance. The Deputy Supervisor will support mobilisation, training and provide support to the operation of the TUP system at sea and at the base.
What you'll be doing
- Ensure continuous rescue readiness of the TUP as part of the NSRS Rescue System.
- Maintain operational preparedness of chamber systems and all auxiliary equipment.
- Support the TUP Supervisor in overseeing the overall material state of the TUP.
- Manage and monitor maintenance activities to ensure equipment serviceability.
- Assist with mobilisation activities, ensuring readiness for deployment.
- Support and contribute to training activities for TUP operations.
- Provide operational support to the TUP system during activities at sea and at base.
What we’re looking for
- Qualified in diving, ROV, or manned submersible operations with relevant certification.
- Current, competent, and experienced in underwater operations and associated training.
- Proven experience in the maintenance of diving, ROV, or submersible systems.
- Familiar with working to marine, defence, and facilities standards (e.g. DEFSTAN).
- Knowledge of international quality and safety standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 45001) and Lloyd’s Rules for Classified Systems.
- Experience working on commercially sensitive projects.
- Background in public service, defence, offshore, or regulated operational environments.
- Experience in safety management, instructional techniques, and operations involving high‑pressure systems.
