The company is at the forefront of Hyperbaric Rescue, along with being the leading supplier of commercial and defence diving equipment and saturation diving systems to the commercial industry.
The Role
The General Maintenance Person is responsible for performing a variety of repair and upkeep tasks within a commercial property. This includes general maintenance duties, basic plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, painting and decorating, as well as monitoring inventory levels and reporting supply needs — all to ensure a safe and functional working environment.
Principle Accountabilities
- Conduct daily inspections of the worksite to identify issues such as faulty lighting or door security concerns
- Perform routine facility maintenance and respond promptly to service requests
- Carry out repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance items as needed
- Ensure car parks and pathways are kept clear of debris and hazards
- Perform vehicle checks, arrange MOTs and servicing, and manage vehicle drop-offs and collections from garages
- Complete painting, decorating, and office furniture adjustments as required
- Monitor and restock all coffee and tea stations regularly
- Purchase supplies and fresh fruit for both buildings when necessary
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks within set timeframes
- Handle general administrative duties to support maintenance operations
- Liaise with contractors to coordinate site-related work and services
- Ad hoc support for anything that may come up in this role
Qualifications And Experience
- Ability to demonstrate transferable trade background qualifications or experience
- Strong communication skills
- Well organised and good at problem solving
- Computer literate
- Bring a positive, can-do attitude and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, well-presented environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute a supportive and professional team culture
