About The Role
Applications Systems Analyst – Cloud Systems
Full-Time, Permanent
Aberdeen or Inchinnan, Hybrid working
The Role
We are looking for an Applications Systems Analyst to join the James Fisher Defence team and support with the development and delivery of cloud systems to reduce business risks and maximise opportunities. You will play a key role in managing and optimising the organisation’s cloud applications. The role will focus on delivering improvements through system development and optimisation, working closely with the users on finding the best solutions.
We are looking for someone interested in discovering and developing innovative solutions in an ever-changing digital landscape. This includes but is not limited to the Microsoft Suite of products. Interest in AI will also be beneficial.
It will also have a global exposure, covering all JFD regions and sites.
Please note that this role requires security checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitates the optimisation of product line performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and information technology
- Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to such specifications
- Develops and launches Systems solutions in line with the requirements gathered through exploratory sessions for developments and document output
- Creating documents to outline the proposed changes and the steps involved
- Ownership for Ideagen Quality System, Salesforce, Concur and other cloud systems across the business
- Works in close collaboration with the rest of the Business Systems team to drive improvement and visibility of the team in the business
Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
- Degree qualified in Computer science or related subject
- Demonstrated experience working with complex processes/data flows and systems
- Business Process understanding and practical experience preferred
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in generating process documentation and reports
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
