As an EN 1090-1 Execution Class 4 certified fabricator, we work on technically demanding projects for data centres, energy, nuclear and industrial clients.
The Role
This hands‑on workshop role involves producing high‑quality fabricated components for chimneys, flues, support structures, staircases and heavy fabrication packages. You will work to precise drawings and quality standards in our modern East Midlands fabrication shops.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce fabricated parts for chimneys, platforms, ductwork and structural steelwork
- Prepare bespoke components from raw materials and assemblies
- Work accurately from fabrication drawings, sketches, checklists and work instructions
- Maintain BS EN 1090-1 and BS EN ISO 3834-2 quality standards
- Use MAG, MIG, TIG, MMA welding processes on mild and stainless steel
- Operate associated power tools, guillotines, presses and workshop equipment
- Work unsupervised to tight deadlines while maintaining consistent quality
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served Plater/Fabricator with structural steel experience
- Proven background in stairs, ductwork, general and heavy fabrication
- Ability to work independently from fabrication drawings
- MAG, MIG, TIG, MMA welding experience (mild and stainless steel)
- Familiarity with workshop power tools and equipment
- Strong references and good timekeeping
- Experience with industrial chimney or process steelwork
- Submerged arc welding (SMAW) capability
- Mild steel/Stainless steel fabrication experience
