We are a medium-sized, family-owned engineering company specialising in the fabrication and installation of steel chimneys, flue systems, secondary steelwork, and staircases. We are looking for an experienced Contract/Project Manager to join our team.
The role will encompass managing all elements of multiple projects, including:
- Attending pre‑start meetings
- Carrying out surveys
- Providing direction on design in conjunction with structural engineers’ calculations
- Engaging and briefing draughtsmen
- Cost‑budget control for all materials, plant and labour
- Planning fabrication with the operations manager and site installation resources in conjunction with other managers
- Writing method statements and risk assessments
- Managing/directing site labour to achieve snag‑free installations within required project timelines
