This premises support role sits within the estates team at James Elliman Academy, a primary school in the Park Federation Academy Trust. The post covers site maintenance, health and safety compliance, key holding and general handyman work, with some supervision of and cover for the cleaning team. It is a 30-hour post with a flexible daily pattern, including possible early starts and evening finishes, and some work across other Trust academies. Visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- General site maintenance inside and out
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
- Key holding duties
- Locking and unlocking the premises
- General handyman duties
- Assisting with moving deliveries and furniture
- Supervising and assisting the cleaning team, providing cover where necessary
- Liaising with contractors as directed by the Head of Estates
- Deputising for the Head of Estates on occasion
- Working across the Trust at times
