The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to the mill operations to minimise losses due to any engineering causes. You will be a Mechanical or Multi skilled Engineer with Mechanical Bias.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide fault diagnosis, solutions and repair in/on areas of machinery and plant such as machinery breakdown; run ability and safety related to maintenance work.
- Complete work as issued by the wider group or team leader and prioritise unplanned work.
- Comprehensive recording of all necessary information.
- Implement improvements to safety, housekeeping and workplace organization; environment; productivity; and quality.
- Accountable for the safe hand-over of any maintenance work carried out.
- Support the team and be available for call out outside of normal working hours to assist in breakdowns.
- Assist with training to new colleagues and apprentices using appropriate procedures; re-familiarisation for other colleagues as required.
- Carry out technical and detailed parts planning in conjunction with Engineering Leaders.
What will make you successful?
- HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent, or an apprentice-trained craftsman in a suitable engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience in an engineering role.
- Trained and licensed counterbalance/reach forklift truck driver, mobile working platform operator.
- Broad knowledge of all plant, equipment, systems mill-wide, engineering equipment and works to technical specifications and information.
- Knowledge and use of all appropriate safe systems of work and risk assessments; confined spaces working / working at height.
This is a Monday - Friday days position.
