We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on person to join our Paper and Packaging production team as a Converting Operative. In this role, you’ll operate specialist coating and flexographic printing equipment to produce materials safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be part of a supportive, experienced team and play a key role in solving problems, improving processes, and helping to train and mentor new colleagues.
What you’ll be doing:
- Running and optimising coating and printing machinery
- Checking product quality and completing accurate documentation
- Troubleshooting issues and working with engineering teams
- Supporting improvements in safety, efficiency and housekeeping
- Getting involved in continuous improvement initiatives
- Helping new colleagues learn and succeed
These are rotating 3 shift roles working 12 hour shifts including day and night shifts.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a manufacturing or process environment
- Great communication and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Practical skills and confidence working with machinery
- An interest in learning about flexographic printing and coating processes
- A commitment to safety and quality
- FLT licence and experience with flexo/coating processes are a bonus — but we’re happy to train the right person.
