ERP Support Specialist

At James Cropper, we're embarking on an exciting period of systems evolution, and we're looking for an ERP Support Specialist to join our Information Services team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our ERP and financial systems while helping the business transition to new technology solutions. Based on the beautiful edge of the Lake District, you'll be working with colleagues across manufacturing, finance and business functions to deliver exceptional system support and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

As our ERP Support Specialist, you'll become a trusted partner to users across the business, providing first and second-line support, maintaining system integrity and helping colleagues get the most from our ERP and financial systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing day‑to‑day support for ERP and financial system users, resolving issues and minimising business disruption.
• Managing system administration activities including user access, security roles, master data and configuration.
• Creating and maintaining user guides, process documentation and training materials.
• Delivering engaging training and onboarding sessions to build user confidence and capability.
• Supporting upgrades, testing, data validation and system improvements.
• Investigating recurring issues and contributing to root‑cause analysis and preventative solutions.
• Developing reports and queries using tools such as SQL and Power BI to support business reporting needs.
• Working closely with stakeholders across manufacturing and finance to enhance processes and user experience.

What we're looking for

You'll have previous experience supporting and administering ERP and/or financial systems and enjoy working with a wide range of users.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Experience supporting ERP platforms such as Epicor, Infor M3, CODA or similar systems.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Experience creating documentation and delivering user training.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships across the business.
• Experience with ERP upgrades, migrations or implementation projects (desirable).
• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI or reporting tools (desirable).
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment (desirable).
