Our client, whose mission is to harness the power of data, cloud, and AI to deliver meaningful insights and smarter business outcomes, is expanding and looking for a Data Architect to join their team on a permanent basis.
What You’ll Do
- Design and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, physical) for enterprise and analytical needs.
- Develop and evolve data architecture standards aligned with frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman.
- Support data mesh adoption—including data products, contracts, and governance.
- Define data integration and pipeline strategies using APIs, streaming, and orchestration tools.
- Optimise architectures across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), covering lakehouse, warehouse, and virtualization layers.
- Enable AI and GenAI capabilities with a focus on ethical and responsible AI.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years’ experience in data architecture or related roles.
- Strong grasp of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
- Expertise in cloud-native data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data modelling.
- Experience with data mesh, governance, and integration/orchestration tools (Kafka, Airflow, dbt).
- Knowledge of lakehouse and virtualization concepts.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI initiatives and ethical data practices.
- Skilled communicator with experience mentoring others in matrix environments.
- Aware of regulatory and compliance standards (GDPR, ISO27001).
