Are you an Azure Cloud Engineer with genuine, hands-on Bicep experience and a passion for Infrastructure as Code? A well-established UK financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join its growing Platform Engineering function as part of a major cloud transformation programme. This is an opportunity to work within a large-scale enterprise Azure environment, helping to design, build and optimise cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code, automation and cloud governance. The team is specifically looking for someone with strong, hands-on Bicep experience who can hit the ground running from day one.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and deploying Azure infrastructure using Bicep
  • Delivering scalable, secure and highly available cloud solutions
  • Supporting cloud platform engineering and transformation initiatives
  • Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Working closely with Platform Engineering, Architecture, Security and Development teams
  • Driving automation, standardisation and cloud best practices

What they're looking for:

  • Proven commercial experience developing and maintaining Bicep templates in production environments (essential)
  • Deep Azure expertise across IaaS, PaaS and cloud-native services
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code background, ideally including Terraform
  • Experience delivering Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale cloud platforms
  • Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, RBAC, governance and access controls
  • Azure DevOps and CI/CD experience
  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400 or similar) highly desirable

Contract Details:

  • Initial 6-month contract
  • Likely programme duration of 12 months+
  • Up to £600 per day Inside IR35
  • 1-2 days per week in Crawley
  • ASAP start
