Are you a QA leader who enjoys building quality processes from the ground up rather than just running tests? Our client, a well-established and growing organisation within the retail and eCommerce sector, is looking for an experienced QA Manager to establish and lead quality assurance practices across their digital platforms. This is a newly created role within a growing digital team, offering the opportunity to shape the entire QA function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the QA strategy, introducing structured testing frameworks, and ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple digital platforms. Working closely with product, project and development teams, the QA Manager will play a key role in embedding a quality-first mindset and ensuring that releases are reliable, well-tested and ready for production.
Key Responsibilities- Define and implement the QA and testing strategy for the organisation’s digital platforms
- Establish QA governance, standards and testing processes across the development lifecycle
- Develop and manage structured test plans, scenarios and release processes
- Lead and coordinate testing across multiple digital projects and releases
- Implement quality metrics and reporting to monitor release stability and defect trends
- Introduce and develop automated testing frameworks where appropriate
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with internal stakeholders
- Promote best practices and champion quality across the digital team
- Previous experience as a QA Manager, QA Lead or Test Manager within a digital or eCommerce environment
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies including functional, regression, integration and UAT testing
- Experience implementing QA frameworks, testing processes and governance
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Experience supporting complex digital platforms or eCommerce ecosystems
- Experience with platforms such as Magento/ Adobe Commerce, Umbraco Commerce or WordPress
- Experience introducing test automation frameworks
- Background in retail, lifestyle or consumer-focused brands
