Overview
Joiner / Carpenter role for a Yorkshire-based company with national reach. Permanent, full-time position with nationwide travel and a HQ in Harrogate. Salary £35,000 – £40,000, all expenses paid, plus van allowance.
We’re an exciting, young, fast-growing Tier 3 principal contractor working to CHAS Elite standards — delivering projects safely and professionally across NHS, Education, Banking, Commercial, Hospitality, and Charity sectors. Projects range from high-end fit-outs and retail refurbishments to NHS groundworks and Banking refreshes. We are looking for a skilled Joiner to join our expanding national fit-out team.
The Role
- As a Joiner / Carpenter you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality interior fit-outs and refurbishments for national clients.
- Carry out 1st and 2nd fix joinery, detailed finishes, and bespoke fit-out work to an exceptional standard.
- Bench joinery, manufacturing and fabricating both in our workshop and on site.
- Work across multiple sites nationally, primarily within retail, commercial, and hospitality environments.
- Interpret and work from drawings and specifications accurately.
- Work collaboratively with Site Managers and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Take pride in your craftsmanship — maintaining site tidiness, health & safety, and attention to detail.
- Represent the company professionally — you’ll often be client-facing on live sites.
What You’ll Need
✅ Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Joiner in commercial or retail fit-out projects.
- Excellent attention to detail and finishing standards.
- Comfortable working nationally and staying away from home when required.
- Ability to read drawings and work independently or as part of a team.
- A professional, personable attitude — we’re proud of the relationships we build with our clients.
- Yorkshire-based and within commutable distance of Harrogate for project collaboration and local contracts.
Certifications (Essential / Desirable):
- CSCS Card – essential (Gold desirable)
- PASMA / IPAF – desirable
- First Aid – desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery – essential
Additional Information
- Due to our work with clients in banking, NHS, education, and defence, all staff are subject to Enhanced DBS checks.
- You’ll travel nationally (with all expenses paid) and occasionally work nights or weekends as required for fit-out programmes.
