We are looking for a personable, thoughtful and self-motivated Qualified Financial Adviser to join our team. About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Financial Advisor to join a thriving practice and take ownership of a substantial client portfolio. Based primarily in the West Somerset area, you will manage client relationships both in the office environment and through home visits, providing flexibility and personal service that clients truly value.

You will inherit a healthy and very warm client bank with substantial Assets Under Management, plus benefit from a steady stream of new client opportunities and warm leads. The role offers excellent support through our dedicated administration and compliance team, allowing you to focus on what you do best – building relationships and growing the business.

A fully employed role, providing advice across the full range of financial planning, covering retirement planning, investments, tax planning, savings and protection, identifying client needs and providing excellent standards of client service. You will be provided with a client portfolio to service and develop. Full administration and compliance support provided.

What you’ll be responsible for?

  • Managing and reviewing an existing portfolio of clients
  • Conducting client meetings both in the office and at client homes
  • Evaluating clients’ financial documents including their income, expenses, and liabilities
  • Providing support, guidance and holistic advice on retirement, investments, savings, and insurance
  • Delivering annual reviews and ongoing servicing
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships, helping clients understand and achieve their immediate and ongoing financial goals
  • Monitoring changing client needs and adjusting plans accordingly
  • Working collaboratively with the administration and compliance team to deliver exceptional client service
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments, market trends and best practices to ensure consistently compliant and effective advice
  • Upholding our company values and Consumer Duty responsibilities, delivering great client outcomes

What we’re looking for?

  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering first-class advice
  • Strong track record of managing and growing client relationships
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Great organisational skills to manage a large and diverse task list to ensure we deliver great client journeys
  • You should have a full UK Driving Licence and willingness to visit clients’ homes when needed
  • You should value long-term relationships over short-term wins
  • You should have sound knowledge of investment products, retirement planning and protection solutions
  • You should have familiarity with regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty responsibilities
  • You must be fully Diploma qualified in Financial Planning or equivalent to level 4 standard
  • You should be an experienced Financial Adviser (5+ years) ideally in an independent environment
  • You should align with the company values of putting clients first
