We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in South Manchester, who are recruiting for a two Multi-Trade Carpenters on a temporary six-week contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £22.00 per hour on Umbrella CIS basis. The ideal candidate will be a skilled Multi-Trade Carpenter with social housing maintenance experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality repairs and refurbishments within occupied and void properties. Duties will include (but are not limited to): * Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties * Completing first and second fix carpentry including doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves and flooring repairs * Fitting, repairing and refurbishing kitchens and bathrooms to a high standard * Undertaking multi-trade works including basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, painting and decorating * Diagnosing property defects and identifying appropriate repair solutions * Carrying out void property refurbishments to prepare homes for new tenants Experience required: * Proven experience carrying out carpentry and multi-trade repairs within social housing, residential maintenance or void properties * Strong knowledge of first and second fix carpentry, including doors, kitchens, flooring and general joinery repairs * Experience undertaking associated trades such as basic plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating works * Demonstrable ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and deliver excellent customer service within occupied properties Working hours: * 35 hours per week * Monday – Friday Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
