Our client, a London Borough based in South London, is currently recruiting for a Housing Litigation Solicitor on a 3-month rolling basis. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience of a wide range of Housing Litigation matters, with experience in ASB and repossession highly beneficial. All candidates must be qualified with the ability to conduct their own advocacy, requiring an on-site presence of once a week.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Reporting into the Senior Housing Lawyer, being responsible for your own varied Housing Litigation
  • Handling a case load of routine, complex and potentially sensitive legal cases made up of contentious and non-contentious matters including advice on repairs obligations and other landlord & tenant related matters
  • Providing specialist and responsive legal and procedural advice to the organisation, colleagues and members
  • Providing legal representation for the organisation and act as professional legal advocate in courts and tribunals

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Local Government desirable

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
