Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for two Early Years Practitioners on permanent contracts. The position is due to start immediately on a part-time basis. The role is for 25 hours a week over 4 days. The salary for the position is £26,872 (FTE).
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children under the age of 5 and their parents to foster a positive environment in which the young person can thrive. This role offers a lot of creative freedom, so it would be attractive to an individual who is looking to put their stamp on the role.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Creating and delivering activities aimed at children under 5 and their parents
- Signposting clients to third party services where necessary
- Creating risk assessments to ensure the safety of staff and service users
- Ensuring that safeguarding procedures are always followed
- Building parent resilience through delivery of services
- Assisting in the smooth running of the centre
- Ensuring that play materials, equipment and play spaces are maintained, kept safe and stored appropriately in line with current procedures
Experience required:
- Experience working with children
- Experience planning and delivering sessions that build parental skills
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Strong health and safety skills
- Compliance and due diligence
