We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Liverpool, who are recruiting for a Head of Health and Safety on a 3-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, and the daily rate on offer is between £(Apply online only) a day dependent on experience (Paid via an Umbrella Company).

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Health and Safety professional with a strong understanding of Direct Labour Organisations (DLOs), capable of providing visible leadership and driving a positive safety culture across the business.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Reporting to the Board and Senior Management on a wide range of Health and Safety issues during an ongoing restructure
  • Reviewing existing risk assessments and method statements, ensuring they are fit for purpose, with a particular focus on a DLO
  • Overseeing the accident and incident reports, ensuring lessons are learned from all accidents and near misses
  • Promoting a culture of Health and Safety across the organisation
  • Auditing existing risk assessments and method statements as well as adherence to these
  • Ensuring COSHH assessments have taken place and are valid
  • Playing an active role within the Compliance team as required

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing or construction
  • Experience managing the Health and Safety of a DLO
