We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning Manufacturer with a global presence, who are looking to appoint a Finance Graduate (Assistant Accountant) on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time, site-based position based in Swansea and offers a salary of £26,000 - £28,000. The role is able to start dependent on notice. This role would be perfect for a recent Finance/Accountancy Graduate (2:1/First) who is looking for a role to launch their career. Our client is keen to find someone proactive and driven who wants to study toward an ACCA or CIMA qualification.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting inventory and costing activities, assisting with reserve calculations and contributing to daily operational metric reporting.
  • Assisting the finance team with P&L forecasting, cost tracking and financial performance analysis.
  • Supporting month end closure processes, preparing basic journals, accruals and prepayment calculations and ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Contributing to budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and alignment with project and production timelines.
  • Assisting with margin analysis, identifying trends, variances and potential improvement opportunities.
  • Working collaboratively with operations, purchasing and sales teams and other branches.

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Finance/Accounting Graduate with a 2:1 or a First.
  • Previous working experience (not necessarily within Finance).
  • Working towards or desire to study towards professional qualifications.
