We’re working with a dynamic Students’ Union to recruit a Personal Assistant who will play a crucial role in enabling elected officers to succeed during their one-year term. You’ll be an essential part of the team, providing seamless support and making sure officers and senior leaders have everything they need to lead effectively.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing diaries and scheduling meetings for elected officers, ensuring they’re where they need to be
Coordinating logistics for officer meetings and events, from room bookings to catering and tech
Preparing and distributing meeting packs, agendas, and papers to keep officers well-informed
Supporting officers with essential processes, such as forms, documentation, and reporting deadlines
Providing weekly highlight summaries to help officers focus on key priorities
Tracking officer attendance, holiday requests, and engagement in key meetings
Offering executive assistance to the SU President and Chief Executive, including diary management and briefing support
Attending senior meetings when needed, taking notes, and managing follow-up actions
Handling sensitive and confidential information with absolute professionalism
What You’ll Need
Proven experience in administrative, executive support, or coordination roles
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously
Excellent written communication and briefing preparation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
A high level of discretion and professionalism, particularly when dealing with sensitive information
