We are currently working with a leading UK charity, based in Central London, who are looking for a Governance Officer to join their team, initially on a 3-month temporary basis. They are looking to interview ASAP with a view to starting someone in January. The hourly rate is up to £29.44 via an umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have experience in admin-based governance within the public sector, including charities or social housing. Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Completing administrative based governance tasks on a day-to-day basis
- Assisting with the servicing of subsidiary board and committee meetings, including facilitating times and locations of meetings, preparing agendas, collating and uploading papers and taking minutes at meetings
- Maintaining a list of regulatory returns and liaising with the lead officer to ensure that the return is completed on time
- Supporting the Head of Risk Governance and Reporting, ensuring there is an up-to-date central record kept of all organisational policies and procedures
- Ensuring all leases and contracts are reviewed, signed and recorded within agreed standing orders and policies
Skills and experience required:
- Experience required in understanding organisations’ legal and regulatory responsibilities
- Experience in analysing and collating complex information
Benefits:

- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
