Our client, a local authority based in Essex, is recruiting a Housing Disrepair Lawyer on a 6‐month temporary contract. The role starts immediately on a full‐time basis. The hourly rate is c.55 UMB and can be negotiable based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal with a high number of complex caseloads, including sensitive legal cases made up of contentious and non‐contentious matters.
- Manage predominantly disrepair matters, working closely alongside the second member of the team.
- Provide legal representation for the organisation and act as a professional legal advocate in courts and tribunals.
- Prepare legal documentation including particulars of claim, schedules of disrepair, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
- Advise clients on their legal rights under housing legislation and tenancy agreements.
