We are recruiting a Litigation Lawyer on a 3-month temporary contract for a local authority in Surrey.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of housing litigation cases, including prosecution stage
  • Lead two major cases in January, requiring court presence
  • Prepare settlement agreements, court orders, and procedural correspondence
  • Work alongside two ASB officers
  • Evaluate settlement options and negotiate resolutions

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in housing litigation
  • Experience handling cases in the prosecution stages

Working Hours

20 hours per week on a part-time basis. Ideally attend the office on Thursdays; remaining hours can be completed any other working day. Hourly rate is negotiable, likely around £50-55 p/h via an umbrella company. Access to your own vehicle is required. Recent experience is required to apply for this role.
