The predicted salary is between 25 - 30 £ per hour.

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the South-West, who are recruiting for a Senior Governance Officer on a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. The role can be conducted fully remotely, and they are looking for someone on a part-time basis, 2-3 days per week. The position is due to start as soon as possible, and the hourly rate of pay is £25 - £30 p/hour via an Umbrella company.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing high-level governance support to the Head of Governance, Risk and Assurance and the wider team during a period of disruption and transition, ensuring continuity and delivery of key governance priorities.
  • Supporting continued implementation of the Association's Governance Action Plan.
  • Assisting with policy reviews and consolidation.
  • Working on processes and documentation for fit and proper persons checks, ensuring compliance and completeness.
  • Supporting the recruitment process for new non-executive director.
  • Providing high-quality minute-taking for Board/Committee meetings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organisational standards.
  • Reviewing the organisation's compliance with Charity Commission requirements and related Charity law/regulation.

Experience required:

  • Social Housing Regulation and compliance, or similar regulated environment.
  • Proven experience in policy development and drafting high-quality Board/Committee papers.
  • Minute-taking expertise with ability to produce clear, concise, and professional records.

Working hours: Circa 21 hours per week.
