The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

We are currently working in partnership with a public sector body based in Bristol, who are looking to appoint a Finance Manager on a five month temporary contract. This will be a full-time position, with travel required to the office 2/3 days per week and offers a daily rate of Β£237 via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a dynamic and fast moving role and will be looking for a position in which they can contribute to a large scale project.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing professional financial advice and financial modelling to support the development of multi-year budgets, financial plans, project plans and the review of policies and strategies relating to specific projects, schemes, and capital expenditure.
  • Developing measures to assess risk within projects or budgets of high demand and cost volatility or where significant third-party funding is provided.
  • Monitoring income, expenditure and outturn predictions, identifying and communicating unexpected budget variances, budget volatility and monitoring the validity of budget management decisions against accountancy rules and regulations.
  • Interrogating all forecasts including delivery and infrastructure Cost Plans provided by third-party delivery partners and subcontractors.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts including profit and loss.
