Our client, based in Sussex, is currently recruiting for a Project Manager/Planned Surveyor on a permanent contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with a salary of £52,000 per annum plus company benefits and 2/3 days working from home.
The ideal candidate will have experience within project managing and planned works in the social housing or construction industry.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of planned maintenance and major repair projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Take full ownership of projects from inception to completion, including feasibility, design development, procurement, construction, and final handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, programmes, budgets, and risk registers, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Manage external consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers, ensuring performance meets contractual and organisational expectations.
- Administer contracts effectively, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, health and safety regulations, building standards, and internal policies.
- Strong understanding of building construction methods, defects, and technical standards.
- Proven contract management experience across planned works projects.
- Able to analyse performance data and produce accurate project reports.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and industry regulations.
- Confident in budget monitoring, cost control, and financial reporting.
