We are currently working in partnership with a specialist construction and property solutions contractor based in Potters Bar, who are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis. The position is due to start on notice and offers a salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or have experience working on external façade, cladding and brickwork projects, and hold a full UK driving licence.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing external façade, cladding and brickwork projects ranging from £50k to £50m
- Preparing cost plans, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Monitoring project budgets and ensuring commercial performance targets are achieved
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and project teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Conducting site visits across London and surrounding areas
- Supporting procurement activities and subcontractor management
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Producing accurate commercial reports and forecasts
Experience required:
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
- Experience delivering external façade, cladding and/or brickwork projects
- Experience managing projects of varying values from minor works through to large-scale schemes
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Excellent cost management and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
