Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Project Manager (Environment) on a 12-month fixed term contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The annual salary is £47,518, with hybrid working available (2/3 days working from home).
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Support the Head of Environment in delivering environmental and operational projects linked to Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and wider service transformation programmes
- Research, gather and analyse information relating to current environmental services, policies, contracts and operational performance to support future service delivery models
- Develop “as is” and “to be” service blueprints, including workflows, operational procedures and process mapping documentation
- Lead projects through all stages of the lifecycle including initiation, business case development, implementation and review
- Coordinate cross-service and cross-authority project teams, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement with officers, contractors and partner organisations
- Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, issue logs, business cases, options appraisals and performance reporting documentation
