We are currently partnering with a leading Property & Construction Consultancy, who are recruiting for a Social Value Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Our client is proud to have a bespoke range of services to corporate clients and public bodies across the UK and Europe working on world-renowned projects. This is a full-time position with a salary ranging from £45,000 - £55,000 subject to experience and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Leading the development and drafting of high-quality, high-scoring social value responses across bids and frameworks
- Working with bid teams to ensure social value responses are aligned with overall win themes and evaluation criteria
- Ensuring commitments are monitored, evidenced and reported in line with client and framework requirements
- Providing regular reporting to senior management, Clients and project teams on performance, progress and opportunities for improvement
- Maintaining a pipeline of community partnerships, charities and local organisations that can support delivery of social value commitments
- Monitoring emerging trends, policy changes and best practice in social value, ESG and public sector procurement to improve performance in bids and delivery
Experience required:
- Proven experience in developing high-quality social value responses for bids and winning work
- Experience in defining measurable and auditable social value commitments and reporting against them
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Strong understanding of the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 and PPN 06/20
- Knowledge of UK social value legislation and policy (including the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 and PPN 06/20) and broader ESG principles
- Understanding of how social value is applied within consultancy-led commissions, including proportionate delivery models
