Our client, based in Manchester, is currently recruiting for a Senior Support Manager on a permanent contract. The position is due to start from April and is a full-time position. The salary can pay up to £50,000 for the right person.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Refugees or Asylum Seekers and have a really strong background with welfare and benefits.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing a team of up to 9 staff, helping support refugees within a supported living service
- Overseeing Housing Benefit claims and applications for service users
- Liaising with Local Authorities and signposting to relevant external agencies
- Ensuring void turnaround time is kept to a minimum
- Creating policies and strategies to fit organisations objectives
- Managing service users Universal Credit accounts, ensuring these are being used correctly to pay for their tenancy
- Coordinating and overseeing disputes with residents service charges, liaising with the finance matter on these claims
- Ensuring all compliance is up to date and records are kept in time
Experience required:
- Experience liaising with Local Authorities and clients who have been signposted
- Strong knowledge on the welfare benefits system
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm.
