The predicted salary is between 52000 - 68000 £ per year.
We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Oxfordshire , who are recruiting for a Senior Planning Solicitor on an initial 3-month locum contract .
The position is due to start in August, and the hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £65 via an Umbrella company.
They are looking for someone to attend one planning committee per month .
The ideal candidate needs to have a good knowledge of planning so that they can draft section 106 agreements without supervision, deal with Judicial Reviews and attend planning committees.
Duties will include (but are not limited to): Managing a varied caseload, providing expert legal advice on complex planning matters Drafting, negotiating and completing Section 106 Agreements, ensuring compliance with current planning legislation, CIL requirements and recent legislative changes Advising on Judicial Review matters, managing legal processes and deadlines, and attending Planning Committees as required Providing wider legal support where required, including licensing, enforcement, contract drafting, prosecutions and the review of reports across a broad range of local government matters Experience required: Experience required in Local Government Significant experience with Planning law Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
