We are currently partnering with a global company that provides project management, consultancy and operational support for major projects and programmes in the UK. They are looking for a Senior Cost Manager to join their team in London. This role is an opportunity for someone to work on the most prestigious and prominent mixed use real estate commercial development projects, with project values ranging from £millions to £billions.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £60,000 to £85,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing aspects of quantity surveying and cost consultancy including pre and post contract duties
- Attending meetings, preparing financial reports and monitoring the status of projects
- Ensuring the project remains on budget from design to completion phase
- Managing the tender process, reviewing and analysing tender returns and preparing recommendations to the client as well as advice on procurement routes
- Fulfilling post contract duties including establishing the effect of variations and evaluating and negotiating final account settlements
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, maintaining the highest standards of professional competence at all times
Experience required:
- Accredited MRICS member desired but not required
- Experience of high value and complex projects gained in a consultancy environment
- Workplace, retail, commercial or mixed-use sector experience desirable
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- First class communicator, capable of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Client-facing and enthusiastic about the industry
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages, CAD and CostX
