The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are currently working in partnership with a Construction and Property Consultancy based in Cambridgeshire, who are recruiting for a Senior Surveyor on a Permanent contract. The position is due to start as soon as possible.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Undertaking contract administration on projects within the public and commercial space.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, providing professional advice and identifying new business opportunities.
- Assisting the wider Building Surveying team with regards to general Building Surveying duties, providing advice and guidance on building surveys, condition reports, party wall matters, defects and other related areas.
- Sharing knowledge with the wider practice and mentoring junior members of the team.
Experience required:
- Experience of Pre-contract matters and the ability to take a project through its lifecycle.
- Familiarity with standard forms of contract including the JCT suite.
Qualifications required:
- BSc or MSc in Building Surveying.
- MRICS or other appropriate further qualification or significant progress towards qualification.
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Good communication and people skills with the ability to produce good quality written reports.
- Mentoring skills to help develop more junior staff.
- A full and detailed working knowledge of the most widely used forms of building contract.
