We are currently partnering with a Housing Association in Hertfordshire, who are recruiting for a Repairs Surveyor to join their team on a three-month temporary basis with the option to extend. This is a full-time hybrid position working 40 hours per week, with the rate of pay being £45 per hour via an umbrella company and the start date is subject to notice.
Full driving license and vehicle and previous social housing experience is key for this role.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Work in accordance with our policies and procedures relating to the delivery of building services, cyclical, major works and building maintenance works, ensuring they are in line with legal requirements and good practice.
- Undertake property surveys to ensure compliance with statutory duties such as HHSRS, Decent Homes.
- Assessing and remedying Damp & Mould related defects.
- Support the delivery of high-quality building services and maintenance service to social housing properties and other clients' properties in accordance with company plans and legislation.
- Deliver the service to a quality and timeliness that will meet relevant Key Performance Indicators.
- Be responsible for your own health and safety and look out for that of others.
Experience required:
- Experience required in Social Housing.
- Working as a Maintenance/voids Surveyor.
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Holding a RICS accredited degree (or equivalent) in a construction related discipline is desirable.
- Full driving license and vehicle.
- Knowledge of legislation, and best practice relating to this field of work including the Building Regulations and The Decent Homes standard.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft applications and relevant surveying software.
