Join to apply for the Repairs Surveyor role at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd. We are currently partnering with a Housing Association in North West London and they are recruiting for a Repairs Surveyor on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week, with a rate of £34 per hour. The start date is subject to notice.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the maintenance service including repairs, voids, planned and cyclical works
- Support the achievement of key performance targets in the region
- Maintain the quality and effectiveness of services to the association\’s tenants
- Deliver a local minor adaptations service, within agreed budgets
- Ensure outstanding work orders are managed as per the Operating Procedures
- Undertake a representative sample of repairs inspections after completion on all repairs and voids as directed
- Update Housing Management Asset System immediately following planned works installations; databases are promptly updated following programmes of work
- Undertake void inspection and specification in line with the Operating Procedures
Experience required
- At least 5 years\’ experience of property maintenance work, preferably within housing, including undertakings such as property inspection and diagnosing common property defects
Skills, knowledge and expertise
- A sound knowledge and understanding of building and health and safety at work legislation

- Able to work flexible hours, including evening meetings and occasional overnight stays away from home

- Monday – Friday, 9am–5pm
