Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Repairs/Voids Surveyor on an initial 12 – fixed term contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £48,500 per annum + £5,425 car allowance.
The successful candidate will cover the South London/Surrey/A3 corridor and will be able to work from home 2/3 days a week. The ideal candidate will have social housing experience and has a full UK driving license & vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Logging and managing repair jobs across multiple housing sites using Civica CX as operating system
- Monitoring KPIs to ensure jobs were completed within target timescales
- Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to update job progress and resolve queries
- Raising purchase orders and managing subcontractor instructions in CX
- Reviewing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance before invoicing
- Responding to calls and inbox queries, prioritising urgent works and ensuring timely resolution
- Supporting compliance by managing job documentation and reports for auditing purposes
Experience required:
- Experience in Social Housing
- Knowledge of areas like damp & mould, disrepair, and general housing standards
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Solid understanding of building maintenance, common defects, and repair solutions
- Managing multiple repair jobs across sites requires strong organisational skills
- Understand service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs, and actively monitor performance to ensure works are completed within target timescales
