We have an exciting opportunity for a Group HR Advisor to join a large, people-focused organisation on a permanent basis. This is a varied HR advisory role offering hybrid working, with a base in Redditch and the flexibility to work from home 2/3 days per week.
The successful candidate will provide first-line HR advisory support across the Group, working closely with managers to deliver effective employee relations, sickness absence case management, investigations and HR project support. This opportunity will suit an experienced HR Advisor who is confident coaching managers, handling ER matters, producing accurate documentation and supporting continuous improvement across HR processes and projects.
Salary and benefits: Salary up to £38,000 per annum, plus 22 days’ holiday with service-related increases up to 24 days, contributory pension with 3% employer contribution, death in service at 4x salary, Hastee, Reward Gateway and an Employee Assistance Programme.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a high-quality first-line HR advisory service, coaching managers on policy, procedure and best practice
- Managing employee relations and sickness absence cases, including investigations, formal documentation and note taking
- Escalating complex matters to the HR Business Partner team where appropriate
- Supporting the development of manager resources, including letter templates, toolkits and guidance notes
- Supporting and taking ownership of HR projects as required, including onboarding and induction activity
- Driving team effectiveness and contributing to continuous improvement across HR service delivery
Experience required:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified, or working towards this qualification
- Proven employee relations experience, including investigations, case management and formal consultation
- Experience supporting HR projects, with onboarding and induction exposure advantageous
- Excellent written English, strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate documentation
- Credible judgement, sound decision making and strong stakeholder engagement skills
- A coaching style, high emotional intelligence and the confidence to advise managers constructively
- Flexible, adaptable and comfortable managing conflicting priorities while working at pace
