Our client, based in South-west London, is currently recruiting for a Property Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary on offer is £47,224.87 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Property Management and Building Safety and proven experience as a Property Manager.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure compliance and statutory obligations are met through the correct service delivery when carrying out works orders on servicing, repairs, estates and planned works.
  • Work with the Head of Property Management for the preparation and proposal of financial plans, budget setting, and budget optimisation for the business area.
  • Responsible for managing a budget in excess of £1m for property and places department.
  • Manage repairs and renewals carried out by gas, electrical, plumbing, drainage and all other services, contractors under the stewardship of the business area.
  • Ensure that all statutory compliance obligations and requirements within the area responsible are met and consistent with up-to-date legislation, health & safety and best practice in relation to all job tasks carried out within the team.

Experience required:

  • Proven experience as Property Manager.
  • Strong contract management experience.
  • In house team management.
  • Budget management.

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • A good understanding of legislation and regulation affecting property management.
  • Familiarity with the proposed Building Safety and Fire Safety Bills.
  • Knowledge of strategies to manage high performance through people and contractors.
