The predicted salary is between 48000 - 56000 £ per year.

We are currently partnering with a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester, who are recruiting for a Principal Lawyer to join their Childcare team on a locum, 3 month (minimum) contract. This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of circa. £60 - £70/hour (Umbrella) and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a team of Solicitors overseeing legal services relating to childcare/family matters
  • Allocating workload, conducting performance reviews and providing guidance to the team
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
  • Providing strategic legal advice to senior stakeholders and deputising for senior management
  • Contributing to strategic, developmental and client related issues arising from management of the team and the wider Group

Requirements:

  • Experience managing a team in a legal setting
  • Qualified Solicitor
  • Experience within Childcare/Family law
