Principal Fire Consultant

We are currently working in partnership with a rapidly growing building regulations compliance consultancy firm, who are looking to appoint a Principal Fire Safety Consultant on a permanent contract.

This will be a full-time position with hybrid working and a salary of up to £85,000 per annum . Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.

Our client has worked with a diverse client portfolio located across all of the UK, to ensure their construction projects are built and delivered to the highest quality.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

1. Liaising and providing professional advice to clients and design teams in relation to Building Regulations Part B design fire safety matters
2. Formulating fee proposals
3. Producing initial stage observations reports and mark up drawings
4. Attending design team meetings to present and discuss fire safety elements
5. Producing fire strategy reports and mark up drawings
6. Developing fire strategy reports in line with RIBA stages

Experience required:

1. Professional membership of a Chartered Body – CABE, RICS, or CIOB
2. Substantial experience with fire safety assessment of commercial and residential design schemes
3. An understanding of related fire safety features such as insurer requirements
