Are you an experienced contracts manager with a passion for delivering planned investment and cyclical maintenance programmes? James Andrews are delighted to be partnering with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation based in the West Midlands that is looking to appoint a Planned Contracts Manager on a permanent contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who will ensure homes remain safe, high-quality and sustainable, while achieving value for money and excellent outcomes for residents and leaseholders. The salary for the position is between £51,000 - £53,000 per annum, alongside an attractive benefits package.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading the planning, procurement and delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes, ensuring completion to time, cost and quality standards.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Leading the planning, procurement and delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes to meet time, cost and quality targets
- Managing contractors, consultants and partners, ensuring effective mobilisation, performance monitoring and compliance with contract terms
- Monitoring programme progress and implementing corrective actions to address delays or performance issues
- Managing budgets, controlling expenditure and contributing to financial forecasting and cost reporting
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, building regulations and health and safety standards while overseeing inspections and site surveys
- Providing technical support, preparing specifications and engaging with residents and stakeholders throughout planned works programmes
- Preparing and reviewing specifications, tender documentation and contract instructions
- Supporting resident engagement activities related to investment programmes
Experience required:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of construction and housing legislation and health & safety
- Knowledge of registered social landlord governance and regulation
Skills, qualifications and expertise required:
- HNC (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline
- Experience in budget management and stakeholder engagement
Working hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday
Hybrid working available: 5 days in office initially, then flex to 2.5 days working in the office
