We are working in partnership with a Software Company in Nottinghamshire who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor on a part‑time basis (22.5 hours per week). Hours can be worked flexibly - either condensed into three full days or spread across shorter hours over four or five days. This is an initial 6‑month temporary assignment, starting immediately, paying the hourly equivalent of around £35-40k p/a.

Key Duties

  • Applying HR policies consistently and supporting managers in their day‑to‑day interpretation
  • Supporting managers with employee relations queries, offering clear and practical advice
  • Coaching managers to build confidence in handling performance, conduct and absence issues
  • Managing return‑to‑work processes and advising on adjustments and documentation
  • Responding to frontline HR queries via walk‑ins, calls and emails, ensuring timely and accurate guidance
  • Guiding employees through policies, procedures and general HR processes
  • Supporting generalist HR operations including onboarding, absence monitoring, casework administration and day‑to‑day people operations

Experience Required

  • Previous experience working in a HR team handling generalist queries
  • Strong background in applying HR policy and advising managers appropriately
  • Experience supporting early‑stage ER issues
  • Confident in managing return‑to‑work processes and recommending adjustments
  • Comfortable dealing with frontline walk‑ins, calls and emails, providing immediate guidance
  • Exposure to generalist HR operations including onboarding, absence, performance and casework admin
  • CIPD Level 3 (minimum) or equivalent

Working Hours

22.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, between 9am–5pm (flexible pattern available).
