Our client, based in Newport, is currently recruiting for a Finance Team Leader on a permanent basis. This is a full-time position and interviews are scheduled to be held late May/early June. The salary available for this role is Β£45,500 and experience in a service charge setting is essential.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of rent and service charge processing, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Managing the accuracy of rent ledger records and ensuring all rent accounts are reconciled and signed off in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitoring and reviewing rent arrears and bad debt provisions, providing timely and accurate reporting to service delivery managers.
  • Acting as the primary contact for operational stakeholders regarding income-related matters.
  • Managing banking operations including direct debits, BACS payments, and income reconciliation.
  • Ensuring robust controls are in place for income allocation, suspense account management, and error resolution.
  • Line managing the Finance Officers, providing clear direction, support, and development opportunities.
  • Setting objectives, monitoring performance, and conducting regular appraisals.
  • Leading on the development and enhancement of finance systems related to income processing.

Experience required:

  • Experience in Social Housing.
  • Experience working within a service charge setting.
