The predicted salary is between 60000 - 84000 £ per year.
We are currently partnering with a Local Authority in Greater Manchester, who are recruiting for a Senior Democratic Services Officer to support their team on a 12-month locum basis. This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of up to £31 p/hour (negotiable) via an Umbrella company and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Supporting the delivery of formal and informal meetings, including Scrutiny Panels, Executive decision-making cycles, and wider committee activity
- Leading on forward planning, agenda management, report assurance, publication of papers and decision-making workflows
- Providing governance and procedural advice to senior officers and elected members, ensuring high standards of transparency, compliance and good decision-making
- Supporting scrutiny activity, including work programming, evidence gathering, research, drafting of reports, and tracking recommendations
- Producing high-quality minutes, reports and governance documentation
- Using ModGov effectively to support end-to-end governance processes
Requirements:
- Experience required within Local Government
- Experience using the Mod.gov system
