We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Greater Manchester, who are recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator on a 6 – 9 month FTC. Interviews are due to be held w/c 29th June, with a view for the successful candidate to start shortly after. The salary available for this role is £36,954. This is a hybrid position with travel to the office ideally required 1 - 2 days per week and the ideal candidate will have a background in public sector procurement and be familiar with PCR2015/PA23.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Ensuring procurement activities are conducted in line with policy, procedures and strategies and contributing to the development of strategy, policy and guidance documents.
- Providing advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on all procurement related matters to ensure best results from the supply chain in terms of service, product, delivery, value for money whilst maintaining compliance.
- Establishing and monitoring a robust spend analysis process to be reported to the business.
- Ensuring conformity, at all times, with the prevailing public contract regulations.
- Managing complaint procurement processes from stakeholder engagement all the way through to contract award in a public sector organisation e.g. Complete end to end procurement, including formally drafting contracts.
- Ensuring alignment with the value for money strategy.
- Managing the e-procurement tendering portal and the future full integration into the new central digital platform in line with the Procurement Act 2023.
- Identifying opportunities through procurement routes to deliver savings, maximise income and deliver continued improvement through the use of resources.
- Identifying supplier risk areas, quantifying risk exposure within defined delivery areas and executing risk mitigation actions.
- Providing procurement expertise to manage suppliers both pre-contract and post-contract.
- Delivering savings through a robust risk and issue management process.
- Working effectively with service leads and stakeholders to provide support in specification development and contract management training including contract variations and negotiations.
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Knowledge of/experience in PCR2015 and PA23.
